"Delicious well made English IPA. Fruity hops, malt sweetness. Get on it if you can find it!"

1770 IPA
English Style India Pale Ale
STRONG PALE ALE
ABV 5.5 % IBU 60
FRUITY AND STRONG
still moderate bitterness, hoppy and fruity
best served in a tulip glass, to get the wonderful hop aroma, at 6 to 8 degrees Celsius
THE IDEA
it's simply unbelievable what great aroma hops have been created in the last few years around the world and the IPA is the perfect beer to showcase them. We chose to brew an English Style IPA which for us means focussing on a great hop flavour at a moderate bitterness for the style. This is not a US West Coast IPA that screams hops, it's what we think is a well balanced, easy drinking, strong, hoppy pale ale.
THE FOOD MATCH
Very nice to combine with Asian inspired food - spicy and fruity and also with lighter dishes, e.g. fish.
THE NAME
We craft our beers near 1770, the only town in the world with a number for a name. It marks the birthplace of Queensland, where Captain Cook landed in the year 1770. This was before the British Empire sent strong and hoppy beers to India, which was the birth of the IPA. But it is recorded that Captain Cook brewed beer on board his ship, probably creating Australia's first drop of that kind. Our IPA is crafted to be as remarkable as this beautiful place.
THE INGREDIENTS
There are four stars in every beer: water, malt, hops and yeast. This beer is all about the hops, but it's still a balanced beer. Due to late hopping and dry hopping all the flavours are released and give this beer a wonderful fruitiness, which gets intensified by the fruity notes from our ale yeast.
